Switzerland was the country that pioneered the Dada movement and Surrealism grew out of disgust and disillusionment caused by the First World War. One of its most prominent representatives was Hans Arp. Some of his works are exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York.

The swiss culture has been influenced by another countries, but they have created a diferent and independent culture different from the culture of another countries. Switzerland has given to Europe great people like artists and thinkers. The Swiss people have been known because their humanitary tradition, and the Red Cross was founded there. Also the united nations human rights council is located in Switzerland. However one of the most important things in Switzerland is its traditional architecture and its great folklore.
